Manhattan's George Beamon has been selected as the StatSheet MAAC Player of the Week for the week ending January 30th. Emmy Andujar from Manhattan has won StatSheet's MAAC Freshman of the Week. Finally, Manhattan's Rhamel Brown has taken StatSheet's MAAC 6th Man of the Week.

Beamon was tops in the MAAC in scoring (23.5 pts per game) and free throws (6.5 per game). He also had 5.5 rebounds per game. The Manhattan junior put these numbers up in victories versus Canisius and Niagara.

Beamon led the Jaspers in scoring and rebounding with 33 points and 8 rebounds in a 78-66 win against Canisius. He then added 14 points and 3 assists in an 87-70 victory against Niagara.

George Beamon has been named StatSheet MAAC Player of the Week one other time this season. He has also been a runner-up once. The runner-up this week is Siena junior O.D Anosike. Honorable mention goes to senior Shane Walker from Loyola (MD). Anthony Myles, who finished 16th, was the highest ranking player from Rider.

StatSheet MAAC Freshman of the Week: Manhattan's Emmy Andujar

Emmy Andujar averaged 26 minutes while starting both games for Manhattan. He was number one among all MAAC freshmen in assists (7.0 per game). In the win over Canisius, Andujar tallied 6 points and 7 assists. Following that in the win against Niagara, he put up 7 rebounds and 7 assists.

Amazingly, Emmy Andujar has won the StatSheet MAAC Freshman of the Week 3 times. Rob Poole from Siena grabs runner-up. Honorable mention goes to Antoine Mason from Niagara. Junior Fortunat, who finished 5th, was the highest ranking freshman for Rider.

StatSheet MAAC 6th Man of the Week: Manhattan's Rhamel Brown

Rhamel Brown, a sophomore and a 6-6 forward/center, averaged 15 minutes over the two games for the Jaspers. In the win over Canisius, Brown put up 3 blocked shots and 83% shooting. Then in the victory against Niagara, he racked up 4 points and 4 rebounds.

This makes 4 times that Rhamel Brown has won the StatSheet MAAC 6th Man of the Week award this season. Our own Anthony Myles is runner up. Sean Crawford, a junior guard from Fairfield, receives honorable mention. Rider has yet to win the StatSheet MAAC Player of the Week award this season.
